Privacy Policy
What we hold, and what we will never do with it.
Castle Management Group is a privately held real estate company in the Pittsburgh region. We own and lease our own homes and apartments. This policy explains what information we collect from residents, applicants, and visitors to this website, why we collect it, and the limits we hold ourselves to.
What we collect
When you send a leasing inquiry, file a maintenance ticket, apply for a home, or pay rent, we collect what you give us: your name, phone number, email address, the property involved, and whatever you write in the message. If you become a resident, we also hold lease and tenancy records, and the billing details needed to invoice you.
We do not run advertising trackers on this site and we do not build profiles on visitors.
Why we collect it
To answer you, schedule showings, process applications, dispatch maintenance, send rent invoices and receipts, and keep the ordinary records a landlord is required to keep. That is the whole list.
Text messages and your mobile number
No mobile information will be shared with third parties or affiliates for marketing or promotional purposes. Text messaging originator opt-in data and consent are not shared with any third party.
We use your mobile number to reach you about your home: rent invoices and payment links, maintenance updates, showing confirmations and reminders, and notices about your tenancy. Consent to receive text messages is never a condition of renting from us, and you can withdraw it at any time by replying STOP. See our Terms for the full messaging terms.
We do share your number with the messaging and phone providers that carry our messages, strictly so those messages can be delivered. They are not permitted to use it for anything else.
Rent payments
Rent is paid through Stripe, a third-party payment processor. When you pay by card or by bank debit, your card and bank details go directly to Stripe and are handled under Stripe's own terms and privacy policy. We never see or store your full card number or your bank account credentials. We see the amount, the date, whether it succeeded, and the last few digits of the method used.
Who else sees your information
We do not sell your information. We do not rent it, trade it, or hand it to data brokers. It is shared only with the service providers who make this business run — our payment processor, our messaging and email providers, and the software we use to manage tenancies — and only to the extent they need it to do that job.
We may also disclose information where the law requires it, such as a valid court order or subpoena, or where it is necessary to enforce a lease or protect someone's safety.
How long we keep it
Inquiry and application records are kept while we are considering you and for a reasonable period after, as fair housing recordkeeping requires. Tenancy, payment, and maintenance records are kept for the length of your tenancy and afterward for as long as tax, accounting, and landlord-tenant law require.
Your choices
You can ask us what we hold about you, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete what we are not required to keep. You can stop text messages by replying STOP and stop marketing email using the unsubscribe link. Messages that are part of your tenancy, such as a rent invoice or a legal notice, may still reach you by email or mail.
Security, and an honest limit
We use reputable providers and limit who on our side can see resident records. No system is perfect, and we will not pretend otherwise. If a breach ever affects your information, we will tell you as the law requires.
Children
This site is meant for adults renting a home. We do not knowingly collect information from anyone under 13.
Changes, and how to reach us
If this policy changes, we will post the new version here with a new effective date. Questions about anything above go to services@castlemgtgroup.com.
